Highlight the key words in the question and ensure you address these in your answer and do not go off topic.
Take 5 minutes to jot down a brief plan for your answer before you start writing. A good plan will make the answer more coherent and easier to write.
Give yourself enough time to answer all aspects of the question. If there is more than one question to answer make sure you divide your time accordingly.
Try to leave time to check for errors, mistakes or extra details/quotations that you could include to give a better answer.
It's about answering the question, not trying to cover everything you know. Keep calm and stay focused.
