English Literature Study Guides Survey Prize Draw (September 2016) – Terms and Conditions

  • The Promoter is Balberry Publishing Ltd, 322 Old Brompton Road, London SW5 9JH.
  • The prize draw is open only to residents of the UK who are in receipt of an email invitation to take part in the survey and prize draw and have fully completed the survey, except employees (and their families) of the Promoter and Pearson Plc.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside the control of the Promoter. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
  • There is no entry fee or purchase necessary to take part in the draw.
  • Only one prize draw entry per respondent and/or email address will be permitted.
  • Proof of identity may be required.
  • A valid email address will be required and shared with the Promoter in order to be entered into the prize draw.
  • Use of a false name, address or email address will result in disqualification.
  • Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.
  • No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed or corrupted, invalid or incorrectly input email addresses or due to computer error in transit.
  • The prizes are as stated, are not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
  • The prizes will be delivered to one address only.
  • The Promoters reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of competitions and reject entries from entrants not entering into the spirit of the competition.
  • In the event of a prize being unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
  • The winner(s) agree(s) to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of county of residence and will co-operate with any other reasonable requests by the Promoter relating to any post-winning publicity.
  • Unless stated otherwise the winner(s) will be drawn at random from all eligible responses received by the closing date of 23:59 on Friday 16th September 2016. After this time and date no further entries into the prize draw will be accepted.
  • Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner(s). If the winner(s) cannot be contacted, or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random, or in the event that the promotion is being judged the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the runner(s)-up selected by the same judges.
  • Confirmation of the prize will also be made in writing by email to the winner(s) within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and randomly select another winner.
  • Failure to respond and/or provide a valid email address for notification, an address for delivery of the prize, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize.
  • Where applicable, the decision of Balberry Publishing Ltd is final based on the criteria set out in the promotion and no correspondence will be entered into over this decision.
  • Prize Draws and Competitions may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
  • In the event of a discrepancy between these standard terms and conditions and the details in the promotional material (or any other terms and conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry), the details of the promotional material (and any other terms and conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry) shall prevail.
