It’s important that you can write about the soliloquies of all the characters. Helmer’s last speech is a soliloquy. He says to himself, ‘   ! She’s gone!’ (Act 3, p. 104).

Ask yourself: Does Helmer feel isolated, as well as Nora?

Possible answer: Helmer dislikes company when he can be alone with Nora – but he may lack the inner resources without a partner to boost his ego.
