Comment

This response is reasonably well structured, though rather dull in the way it just deals with each character in turn. It does analyse fairly successfully at times, but more explanation is sometimes needed. Sometimes points are unclear, or just drift into retelling. There is only a slight hint of contextual awareness. The conclusion is weak, essentially just agreeing with the statement.

To improve the answer:

Consider disagreeing with the stated view, or at least looking at possible counter-arguments, for a more interesting response. Explain points more clearly and fully, and avoid retelling the story without analysis. Find more ways to address context (AO3), such as 1940s gender values, and consider alternative interpretations (AO5).
