While this answer shows a good grasp of the text and many of the issues, it is not focused enough on the question and the argument is not constructed in as cohesive a way as it could be (AO1). Aim for more signposts to the reader and a clearer, more formal style. More attention to language and questions of form are also needed (AO2), and for a higher grade, reference to relevant context (AO4) and discussion of alternative critical interpretations are key (AO3).
For a B grade
- The argument needs to be much more focused on the specific question. It gets too generally caught up in questions of human and monstrous.
- There should be more close detailed analysis of language, form and structure.
- Make sure context is relevant to the text.
- Choose a few more useful quotations.
