Comment

This is a generally fluent and well-argued response. There is some close analysis of key words and phrases to convey ideas, and some evidence of contextual links. Expression is generally good, and quotations are fluently embedded, but some ideas lose focus and clarity, especially at the end of the answer.

For Grade 7

  • Develop ideas about the social context more fully.
  • Expand the style of expression by using a wider vocabulary so that more subtle ideas can be developed.
  • When unpicking the quotations use phrases such as ‘Perhaps …’ or ‘This could suggest …’.
  • Vary opening sentences in paragraphs to introduce ideas in more interesting ways.
