Comment

The points have been made clearly and there is an assured grasp of the theme of time in the play. The answer is particularly strong when linking the text to the wider contexts in which it was written. Well-chosen references and quotations are given. The critical style falters and a more fluent style needs to be further developed.

For Grades 8–9

  • Develop the critical style so the writing reads smoothly.
  • Avoid repeating the main points unnecessarily.
  • Use a wider range of complex vocabulary.
