Comment

It explores the theme of corruption competently and ideas are clearly expressed and expanded. A range of points is made and supported by relevant examples from the text, which are then developed.

  • Discuss how Orwell guides the reader’s sympathies towards powerless characters, such as Boxer.
  • Write a fuller conclusion, demonstrating a more sophisticated understanding of the novel.
