Comment

This response shows a basic understanding of the character, though tends to discuss Lady Macbeth as a real person rather than as a literary construct. Some quotations are included though these could be explored in more detail. A stronger response would include more confident references to other sections of the play. The expression is especially weak in this answer.

  • Focus more on the language of the extract and follow the section chronologically.
  • Show a greater understanding of the play as a whole, in particular referring to Macbeth and his role as the villain.
  • Explore the effects of the language choices in this section.
