A man of religious conviction who comes to understand that he has made the wrong assumptions in Salem but is powerless to change events.
The Proctors’ housemaid, who attempts to resist Abigail’s power but is ultimately too weak and then perhaps partly relishes her new power as an ‘agent of the court’.
