Comment

There is plenty of interpretation of the text here and points are well supported by relevant and, in places, well chosen evidence. There is analysis of language and effects are considered. There is an attempt to comment on context which could be developed further. The essay is well expressed, controlled and organised.

For a High Level Response

  • Provide a more sustained analysis of the text and ideas.
  • Develop a coherent overall argument, expressed more fluently and elegantly.
  • Make more links between close analysis and wider themes, effects of language, etc.
  • Demonstrate more of a sense of the writer at work.
